This is used to regulate the amount of current that can flow through the system. Such a device is often installed when more current needs to flow than a single contact can handle. In practice, at least two contacts are then required. If there were only one auxiliary contact, under certain circumstances too much current would flow at one point in the circuit. This means: some areas receive no power, other areas receive more power than required. The amount of current flowing through the individual areas can be regulated with two or more contacts. This ensures that an even and correct power supply is guaranteed everywhere.How does an auxiliary switch work?When an overload trips a relay or fuse, the connected cable is also heavily loaded.
