The 'Registered Jack' connectors are standardized network interfaces with a defined design for plugs, sockets and their circuits. These are used to connect telecommunication devices. The most well-known standards include RJ-11, RJ-12, RJ-45 and others. The contacts inside are in the form of blades which, when crimped with a special tool, cut through the conductor's insulation and create a conductive connection. The connectors are usually made of transparent plastic so that the assignment of the contacts can be seen. The crimpingYou can obtain special crimping tools for assembling connectors from the RJ series here in the shop. There are universal crimping tools that you can use to crimp all types of RJ plugs. There are also crimping tools that are only suitable for certain connector types. The Registered Jack Standard was originally developed and patented by Bell Laboratories in 1975. This should standardize the connectors used and simplify the work of connecting end devices. Thanks to the support of the US Federal Communications Agency, these were quickly established as the standard for connecting subscribers to telephone networks.Which RJ connectors are the most common? In order to better understand the designation of the plugs and sockets, you should know their structure. The plugs and sockets have a specific number of contact positions. Depending on the model, this can be four, six, eight or ten pieces. However, a contact does not have to be installed at every contact position. This results in the plug designation or the socket designation. Some examples:A 4P4C connector has four contact positions, all four of which are occupied by contacts.A 6P2C connector has six contact positions, only two of which are occupied by contacts. An 8P8C connector has eight contact positions, all eight of which are occupied by contacts. The RJ-9 connector (4P4C) is mainly used to connect telephone handsets to telephone sets. These are the smallest connectors in the RJ series. These have four contact positions and four contacts.RJ-11 connectors are used to connect the phone cords from landline phones. There are two types of RJ-11 connectors: two-pin as 6P2C and four-pin as 6P4C.RJ-12 connectors are similar to RJ-25 connections. These have six positions and six contacts (6P6C) and are primarily used to connect proprietary telephones with a six pin connector. The RJ-45 connectors are very common. These have eight occupied contact positions (8P8C) and are designed for the connection of telecommunication devices. You will find them on computers, network connection sockets, network switches or patch panels. Depending on the cable used, these plugs differ in the shape of the cutting blades:Blades for single core twisted pair cables where the conductors consist of only one solid conductive coreBlades for multi-core twisted pair cables, where the conductors consist of several conductors (strands) braided togetherTriple blades for both types of twisted pair cables Externally, the RJ-45 connectors for different cables do not differ. The difference lies in the position of the contact blades that cut through the cable insulation. Shielded RJ-45 connectors are used with a shielded twisted pair FTP cable for protection against interference and radio interference. You will receive suitable junction boxes for this, which also offer shielding. TIP:There are rubber caps with different color markings for some RJ plugs. These enable better assignment and prevent kinking and damage to the cable at the connector input. 10P10C plugs and sockets are referred to as RJ-50. These have ten occupied contact positions and are used to control uninterruptible power supplies, barcode scanners and medical devices. What are keystone junction boxes?Keystone is a modular insert for passive network devices such as junction boxes or patch panels. These inserts fulfill the function of ports to which, among other things, RJ plugs can be connected. You will receive Keystone junction boxes, which form the framework for using your Keystone modules. All Keystone modules have a set shape and two sides for connecting wires and/or connectors. Depending on the type of connections, the models are divided into 3 types:Unchangeable ? there are identical connectors on both sidesVariable ? with different connectionsSocket ? the most common, on the front side there is a socket for inserting a plug (for example RJ-45), and on the back side there is a connector with insulation displacement terminals for fastening an uncrimped cable. What does the specification of the category mean for a junction box?If you want to buy a junction box and look at the characteristics of the devices, you often come across the indication of a category. This information is an indication of the possible speed of data transmission. Just like the connection sockets, your network cables are also classified into different categories. The CAT-5 standard offers a transmission speed of up to 100 Mbit/s.The CAT-5e standard offers ten times faster speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s.Networks based on the CAT-6 standard and associated hardware support 10 Gbit/s. The specification 6A designates the further development of this standard with an increased transmission frequency. Please match the rating of the junction box to the rating of your connection and the type of cable you are running.  Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Data and telecommunication > Data communication connection box copper (twisted pair) you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:Cable connectorCentral plateChannel socketCommunication junction boxCommunication socketCommunication technologyConnection module carrierConnection unitData connector housingData couplingData socketDevice cupDevice socketDouble frameFlush-mounted boxInsulation displacement connectionJunction boxLocal loopModule carrierMounting frameNetwork socketRaised floorRecording moduleScrew connectionScrew terminalSupport plateTelecommunicationsUnderfloor boxfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Connection box - copper:3MABLBerkerBrand-RexBusch JaegerCommScope EMEACommScope/AMP NetconnCorningDätwylerEFB-ElektronikElsoGiraHagerHartingLeoni DatacomLumberg ConnectMennekesMertenMetzMurrelektronikOBOPanduitReichle & De-MassariRutenbeckSetecSiemensTehalitTelegärtnerWAGOWeidmüller

Bulb socket - Of course, if you want to mount a new lamp, make sure that you use the right socket. There are, however, a large number of different versions, all of which have special or individual properties. Which socket you need can depend on the one hand on the amperage and on the other hand on the space available in the lamp. We will introduce you to the differences and similarities and support you in your purchase decision.Basically, the selection is huge and most of the differences are clear. Inexpensive plastic frames are available in the eibabo® shop as well as versions made of high-quality ceramic. You will also find models with different diameters and sockets into which the bulbs are screwed or clamped. Speaking of light sources: Last but not least, the choice of light bulb also determines which socket must be used. The counterpart to a socket is the so-called base of the light source. Proper functioning of the lamp can only be guaranteed if the base and socket fit together. TIPThe frames offered here are attached individually. Choose from models with screw holes, screw lugs, spring clamps, threads or mounting brackets. However, there are also distinguishing features, the purpose of which often only becomes clear at second glance. At this point we give you a small overview.Which lamp holders are the most common? The base is an indispensable element of any light source, since it performs the function of fastening and power connection. By connecting the base to the lamp socket, the lamp / illuminant is fixed to the light and supplied with energy. Of course, the lamp base and lamp socket must be of the same type, otherwise the connection will fail. Now one would think that this is self-evident and does not pose a problem in everyday life.Yes and no: Because the times when there were only lamp sockets with a thread are long gone. The modern world of lamps is now so diverse that the market for base types and the required lamp sockets has become very confusing. The manufacturers of modern lighting are constantly developing new variants. With a spontaneously bought lamp, you quickly acquire a surprise in the form of a previously unseen lamp socket. It's good if the first lamp is already there. But nothing lasts forever. Sooner or later it's time to replace a burned out lamp with a new one. We present the most common forms of lamp holders. Essentially, these are divided into screwable and pluggable sockets.E40 - screw socket for lamps with an output of more than 200 watts at 230 volts (use in the industrial sector or with conventional street lighting)E27 - classic standard screw socket for household lamps up to 60 watts at 230 volts with a plastic socket, up to 200 watts at 230 volts with a ceramic socket (usually used for Edison bulbs, energy-saving lamps, filament and LED)E14 - screw socket for lamps with an output of up to 60 watts at 230 volts (usually used for Edison light bulbs, energy-saving lamps, filament and LED)GU5.3 socket for simple plug-in pins with a spacing of 5.3 millimeters (often used in low-voltage spotlights with reflectors)GU10 sockets with bayonet lock, into which two solid pins are inserted, a quarter turn establishes the electrical connection (often used with spotlights with reflectors)G4 - receptacle for U-shaped plug pins with an average spacing of 4 millimeters (found in small halogen glass lamps or LEDs)G5 - Bayonet jack for fluorescent tubes with a pin spacing of 4.75 millimetersG13 - Bayonet jack for fluorescent tubes with a pin spacing of 12.7 millimetersG9 - receptacle for U-shaped plug pins with a mean distance of 9 millimeters (found in halogen glass lamps or LEDs) And that's by far not all. Here in the eibabo® shop you will also find sockets with the designations E10, R7s, 2G11, GX5.3, GZ10, G23 and around a dozen others. The 'E' in the screw sockets stands for Thomas Edison, the developer of the corresponding socket thread. The following number describes the diameter of the thread in millimeters. The 'G' is used for plug connections, with the following number indicating the mean distance between the two plug pins in millimeters.Image: Houben 102599 E27 lamp holderWhat material should I choose for lamp holders? When choosing a lamp holder, you often have a choice of different materials. You can choose from different metals such as aluminium, steel or brass, several plastics and ceramic/porcelain sockets. What is Bakelite?Bakelite is a thermoset phenol-formaldehyde resin that is easy to form during manufacture and has high resistance to electricity, heat and chemical attack. It was the world's first commercially successful plastic. It is rarely used today because once a product has hardened, it cannot be melted down and recycled. The main difference between these materials is their ability to withstand certain temperatures. For a rough estimate of which material is right for you, you can use the following information: modern plastic frames can withstand temperatures of up to around 210 °C, Bakelite is resistant up to 190 °C, ceramic frames and metal frames tolerate 230 °C and more. The higher the wattage rating on the bulb, the more heat is generated. For high heat output bulbs or special heat lamps, metal or ceramic sockets are usually the best option. How is the power connection to the lamp socket?Another difference is the type of cable connection. Here we distinguish between a detachable and a fixed connection. The fixed connection is usually made by soldering. In these cases, the lamp socket only has the contact pins required for this, to which the wires of the cables must be soldered. More often you get lamp sockets with detachable connections. These are made either via a screw connection or a plug-in connection / clamp connection.Whether you should opt for a lamp socket with a plug connection or a screw connection essentially depends on the type of cables you have. Modern lampholders offer special connection points, where the wires are fixed just by plugging them in with a spring mechanism. To loosen this connection, the tension on the spring is usually released with a pointed tool. This method of assembly is simple and quick. However, you need stable wire ends for this. You only have this for cables with solid conductors or when using ferrules. With flexible lines (finely stranded cores, strands) you cannot establish a secure connection in this way. If you have flexible cables, you should use sockets with screw connections. This method is a little more time consuming, but you'll attach the wires tightly and securely. Solid conductors can also be easily connected using the screw method.  Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Accessories for lighting > Lamp holder you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:Adapter socketAluminum frameBuilt-up versionBulb socketCeiling mountConnection lineConstruction versionFestoon holderHanging versionIllumination plugInstallation setJunction boxLamp baseLamp holderLamp socketLighting holderMiniature versionPendulum socketPlastic framePorcelain settingRecessed socketRubber plugScrew socketSealing ringSmall versionSocketSocket adapterThrough socketfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Bulb socket:BachmannBJBBrumbergEVNHoubenIDVKleinhuisPaulmannRenzScharnberger+Has.SchuchSignify LampenSLV

It's the inconspicuous things that define our lives more than we think. Without them, our house or apartment would not be complete. This includes inserts and covers for telecommunications and media technology connections. Shopping, chatting with friends, online banking, a movie night, working or reading the news - everything is closely related to today's communication technology. Did you know?In Europe, people use the internet for an average of 4.5 hours a day. In Asia it is more than 3 hours and in the US people spend an average of 6 hours on the internet every day. This is not surprising considering the many possibilities offered by the World Wide Web. Which connections make all these things possible? We give you a brief overview.Which connections do the inserts and covers offered here offer? In this catalog you will find inserts and covers for the following connections: RJ45 CAT, KOAX, UAE/IAE, TAE, SAT, HDMI, USB, XLR, Cinch as well as for speaker cables and others. The range also includes dummy covers, cable outlets, cable ducts and cover plates for built-in loudspeakers. Many manufacturers make inserts and covers in a standardized size. This enables you to choose, combine or vary an individual frame. Refer to the product description to find out whether the inside dimensions of the cover frame you have chosen fit the insert or the cover. This allows you to customize the media connections in your living space. What do you need an RJ45 CAT connection for?The RJ45 CAT connector is a connector for Ethernet cables typically used for computer networking. The cables are available in STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) and UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) versions. STP cables have a shield around each core. This protects against electromagnetic interference. STP cables are commonly used in offices with many computers or in industry. UTP cables have no shielding. These are cheaper and are mainly used in private households. The RJ45 CAT connector is suitable for networks in which large amounts of data are transmitted, for example when streaming video or downloading large files. The RJ45 CAT connector is compatible with the newer 802.11ac and 10GBASE-T standards. Choose such a deployment and appropriate coverage for your network if you have already migrated to these standards or will migrate in the future. The RJ45 CAT connector can be used for the following purposes:Functioning of Ethernet networks with high data rates over long distancesConnection of computers, switches, hubs, DSL modems, routers and other network devicesSupport for Voice over IP (VoIP), Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and other bandwidth intensive applications Image: Gira 569703 Modular Jack RJ45 Cat6A insertWhat is the difference between IAE, UAE and TAE connections?Whether IAE, UAE or TAE - connections are an elementary part of the functionality of devices that accompany us every day. Everyone knows them, but very few know what lies behind them. IAE stands for 'Integrated Services Digital Network Access' and is a digital connection for telephony and Internet access. UAE stands for 'Universal ADSL Access' and is a special type of ADSL connection that enables high-speed Internet via the conventional telephone network. TAE stands for 'telecommunications system connection' and is an analogue telephone connection, which is still widespread in Germany.Interesting in a nutshellWhat is HDMI?HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is one of the most common interfaces for the digital transmission of audio and video data. The HDMI insert is a special type of connection that makes it possible to use HDMI cables and thus transmit audio and video data. HDMI inserts and the matching covers are available for installation in a switch box. Why do I need a blind cover?A blank cover is a cover for a port that is not used. This allows you to prevent dust or debris from getting into the port and contaminating the can. What is a cable outlet?Within a building it can happen that power lines or data lines are required at a certain point. A socket outlet or a data cable connection on the wall is not always desirable. Instead, the line or cable is routed cleanly out of the wall using a cable outlet and can be routed further within the room. What is a cord derivation?A cord derivation or cable outlet box is used to connect an external mostly flexible cable to the flush-mounted installation. In the private sector, for example, for leading out concealed multimedia cables or in the hotel industry for connecting the TV directly to the power supply as protection against theft. Are there combined telecommunications operations and media operations? Most inserts offer one or more connection points of the same type. There are a few inserts that combine different connections, for example RJ45 CAT and SAT. Mark connectionsIf there are numerous workplaces within a room and you need a large number of connections, we recommend covers with a labeling field. With small notes on the type, purpose or affiliation, you always have an overview of your installation. The eibabo® range includes a wide variety of variants and technical designs. These include models in various shades such as aluminum grey, polar white and anthracite or with glossy and matt surfaces. All inserts and covers are available in the current standards and regulations. Depending on the installation location and the desired type of assembly, you can benefit from our large range. Optimally design the connection between your living room or work area and the digital and multimedia world.  Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Domestic switching devices > Insert/cover for communication technology you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:Antenna socketAssembly setBase unitBlank panelBlanking plugBreakout cableCable outletsCentral platesCommunication technologyCord outlet boxData communicationData connection moduleDust coverLabel fieldLotus whiteMiniature connector insertMounting adapterMounting plateNickel metallicOutlet platePlug-in hoodSolder connectionSpeaker boxSpeaker socketStrain reliefUniversal useVolume controlZone controlfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Insert communication cover:ABLBachmannBerkerBusch JaegerCommScope EMEACommScope/AMP NetconnE+P ElektrikEatonEFB-ElektronikElsoEltakoGiraHagerHartingHomewayJungKathreinKleinhuisKreilingLegrand BticinoLeoni DatacomMaicoMertenMetzMurrelektronikOBOPanduitPehaReichle & De-MassariRutenbeckSetecSiemensStiebel EltronTechniSatTehalitTelegärtnerTriaxWeidmüller
Access control system - If you own a building or property, then there are usually people there on a regular basis. For the safety of everyone involved, it is important that only authorized persons have access. There are various access control systems for this, starting with simple locks through code locks to more complex biometric systems. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. In this article we will introduce you to the common systems and help you decide which one is best for you. What functions does an access control system perform?Access control is the process of using various devices to secure a building. This ensures the protection of workers, visitors, facilities and property. Depending on the model, equipment and security requirements, the systems work electronically or manually. Nowadays, more and more people and companies are choosing electronic devices. These offer several advantages.Image: Ekey 101 313 finger scannerThe use of building access control is not only for security, but also for accountability and evaluation. In combination with time recording, access control systems become an analysis system. Visiting times, working hours and breaks can be recorded and logged quickly and directly. In addition to time recording, there are extensive options for integrating:Document management systemsHR systems (Human Resources)accounting systemsCRM systems (customer management)fire protection systemsand many more A properly designed and installed system can also have economic benefits. Fixed costs can be reduced by automating processes. For example, modern registration systems can replace a checkpoint with at least two people. Linking time tracking to the payroll system saves time calculating it.NoticeBuilding access control systems are often managed from a server or computer, allowing changes to be made to the system as needed. In addition, most access controls have a redundant power supply so that power failures do not affect the system.Pay attention to the user-friendliness. When introducing the system, prioritize security and create a positive user experience. Nobody wants to feel monitored. What does an access control system consist of?Typically, an access control system consists of numerous components. On the one hand, these are those that identify the user. On the other hand, there are components that make the decisions about granting access. If you want to integrate an access control system, then you cannot do without it. Please noteThis eibabo® catalog is primarily about the first product group ? the so-called identifiers. These include door code devices, code lock attachments, fingerprint scanners, code handles and card reader modules. An identifier can be a physical object on which code information is read using various technologies. Other identifiers work by entering alphanumeric characters. Biometric properties of a person can also be used as identifiers. The most common identifiers are:coded key card, key fob or tagsvirtual ID (identification via smartphone)entering a secret alphanumeric string (PIN code)the fingerprintthe vein pattern of a finger or handthe geometry of the face or iris Electronic or contactless key cards, key fobs and tagsAccess is gained by reading the programmed card into the reader. These systems are still very often in use, but are increasingly being replaced by other systems. One of the advantages is that you can also store employee information on the key cards, including photos and other data. Thus, these not only serve as anonymous access authorization, but can also be used for full identification. Key fobs or tags are variants with so-called transponders and can also be described with special information. An RFID access control is often used in this context. RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification and is a technology that works with the help of electromagnetic waves and does not require direct contact.door code devicesDoor code devices require you to enter a pre-agreed PIN code for the door to open. You cannot lose this access authorization like a key or key card. However, there is a risk that you will forget the access code. In this case, you will be denied entry. As a rule, after a few failed attempts, further security measures are taken. A code handle is the more elegant form of a door code device. Here the input keys are integrated directly into the jack.Fingerprint readers and other biometric systemsFinger scanners and other biometric access systems are becoming increasingly popular. Biometric technologies are based on 'recognizing' certain physical characteristics of the user. The data is converted into a unique code, which is then sent to the access controller and the software database. ImportantA biometric feature such as a fingerprint is stored in the user database as a digital sequence from which the papillary pattern of the finger cannot be reproduced. This allows full compliance with the laws on the protection of personal data. Biometric systems offer a number of advantages over other systems:a higher level of securitythe impossibility of transmitting biometric data to another personreducing the risk of fraud at checkpoints and workplaces (e.g. time recording)reducing the risks associated with the loss or disclosure of personal identification codesMinimizing administrative costs associated with processing and replacing lost or stolen user identitiesno need to remember passwords or codeshigh accuracy of personal identification At eibabo® we offer you high-quality devices, components and accessories for your access control system. In addition to complete sets, you will find AnyKey keyboards, code locks as built-in devices or for surface mounting, finger scanners, control units for access control systems as well as card readers, key cards and door controls. With the components we offer, you have the option of installing individually planned and modular access control systems. Your advantage is the flexible integration with an optimal price-performance ratio. In addition, the powerful functions of the devices combined with simple and often intuitive operation. Modular plug connectors - What are modular connectors? Where can I use these in my home, commercial or industrial installation? What are the benefits of modular connectors? Does the eibabo® shop offer inexpensive and individual connectors? We answer these questions in the following post. In the field of electrical installation, connectors are of particular importance. Using plug-in connections, it is possible to connect two identical or different cables or lines with one another in a form-fitting manner. Such connections can also be released again.Modular connectors are constructed in such a way that they have properties in common with other components. These are, for example, the same installation dimensions or the type of connections and attachments. These work individually, but can also be combined with others within an assembly unit to form a larger whole or exchanged for one another. If you are interested in a flexible and modular structure for your electrical installation, browse through this eibabo® catalogue. Select the modular connectors that are right for you.Why are there modular connectors? The modern, modular connectors go back to the development of the American telephone system. The phone companies dominated the phone network for the first few decades and didn't allow third-party devices. This applied to both commercial and private use. To connect buildings and individual telephones to the network, bulky plugs were used, which had been in use since the 1930s. These had to be installed and maintained by specialist companies at great expense. As the telephone system became more widespread, a way was sought to reduce the high service costs. These efforts resulted in a modular system of components for standard connections. These were smaller, cheaper and easier to install. As a result, a standard was established for the connection between the telephone company's equipment and the customer's equipment. These standard interfaces were known as Registered Jacks (RJ). The RJ interface specification includes:the physical construction of the plugthe wiring patternsthe signal specifications Registered jacks are identified by the letters RJ. Additional digits describe the type and its properties. Modular connectors and RJ connectors are common names for the same devices. The use of modular connectors has helped fuel the global development of voice and data communications.Picture: Ruthenbeck UM-Cat.6A iso A universal moduleHow are modular connectors constructed?Modular plugs consist of a plastic or metal housing. The housing encloses stamped metal contacts separated by insulating channels. The contacts in the plug match the contacts in the socket. Part of the housing can often be used to lock the plug-socket connection and serves as strain relief. A modular plug or socket is assembled into a cable using a crimping tool. Depending on the use, individual connectors can have an even number of two to ten contact points. For this reason, the widths of the two connecting bodies vary. Not all contacts have to be assigned a line. Telephone (RJ11) connectors typically use four to six ports. RJ45 Ethernet connections have eight ports. The specification details describe the wiring. For example, a 6P2C connector has six positions and two contacts. A four-position, four-contact connector is designated 4P4C. TIP:The specification given for the wiring does not define the purpose of the wires. Modular connectors are also referred to as male or female. The male connectors are plugs or headers, the female ones are sockets or sockets. Some modular connectors supply low voltage AC or DC power to small electronic devices. What are the advantages of modular connectors? The biggest advantage of modular connectors lies in their standard use in communication and data transmission. The connectors are also used in production, in field installation and in the maintenance and repair of machines and systems. The advantages in production are:low prices and constant availabilityAssembly of plugs and cables without solderingrobust versions available for industrial applicationsPossibility to use the sockets on boards by reflow soldering The same advantages apply to installation and repair. In addition, value is placed on the following properties:Simple cable assembly and replacement of old connections on sitequick assembly with simple toolsnumerous wiring options This avoids production downtime and increases the reliability of a system.Where are modular connectors used? The use of modular connectors allows you to individually configure contact connections. Reliability and ease of use have made modular connectors an easy solution for many applications. The most common applications are data networks, telecommunications and low-speed serial connections. Due to the efficient and compact designs, these are also used as alternatives for bulkier and more expensive connectors in various products. Modular connectors are used worldwide and are among the essential components in data transmission and communication. Modular plug connections are also used in the industrial sector. Standardized assembly units are available for machines and systems, into which a wide variety of plug connections can be integrated. This allows individually multifunctional plugs and sockets to be put together. Use compact plug connections in terminal boxes and control cabinets. What types of modular connectors are there? There are many different types of modular connectors. The world's best known and most widely used modular connectors are:RJ10 - (4 positions and 4 contacts) - connects a telephone handset to a receiverRJ11 - (6 positions and either 2 or 4 contacts) - is used to connect telephone lines and modems, with 4 contacts with power supply via the second pairRJ12 - (6 position and 6 contacts) - for telephone line and additional control lines, used in larger telephone systemsRJ13 - (6 position and 4 contacts, with a circuit behind the line) - for telephone line and additional control linesRJ14 - (6 positions and either 4 or 6 contacts) - is used to connect two telephone lines, with 6 contacts with power on the third pairRJ45 - (8 positions and either 8 or 10 contacts) - Connector for high-speed data transmission in computer networks What special properties do modular connectors have?Special requirements must be met when modular connectors are used in factories, in automated processes or in image processing systems. Many of the modular connectors therefore have additional features. This makes them usable for specific applications. For example:shieldingIf electromagnetic interference is to be expected or the lines are very long, shielded lines and plug connections are often used. These cancel out electromagnetic interference. keyingDue to an attached tab, insertion of a true RJ45 plug into a jack is only possible in one orientation. This is to avoid improper wiring. Standard 8P8C connectors do not have this security feature. AssemblyFor production use, panel mount, board mount, through-hole mount, and surface mount are often possible. The sockets can have a vertical or horizontal orientation. display functionsModern modular connectors may also contain LEDs of different colors to indicate connection status. magneticsMagnets must be taken into account with any Ethernet connection. These are part of the Ethernet specification for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T networks. The integration of the magnetics in the RJ45 socket shields against electromagnetic interference. Data connections are becoming more reliable. Highest qualityModular connectors are used in systems where high reliability and performance are important. These are, for example, the military and aviation and space travel. In order to meet the highest requirements, high-performance shielding, special coding, protective sleeves and particularly robust parts are used in these so-called Hi-Rel (High Reliability) models.Which manufacturers produce high-quality modular connectors?Implement tailor-made solutions for your requirements or for the wishes of your customers with our modular connectors. Different and variable housing variants and modular contact inserts enable flexible connection options. Many of the modular connectors offered by eibabo® are suitable for use under extreme environmental conditions, in industry and commerce. At eibabo, we only stock high-quality products from top manufacturers such as Telegärtner, CommScope/AMP Netconn, 3M Telecommunications, Reichle&De-Massari, Striebel&John or Metz Connect.  Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Data and telecommunication > Modular connector you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:Blank panelBlind coverBuilt-in fuseCommunication technologyCompact distributorConnector insertCounter interior workCoupling socketCrimp connectorCross connectorData connectorData technologyDummy moduleFemale connectorIndustrial data socketInternet technologyLine termination moduleModular plugMultimediaPlasticPlug-in terminalPower plugRecessed housing insertSmall distributorsSpare partTerminal stripUniversal moduleWire managerfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Modular plug connectors:3MABBAssmannBachmannBerkerBrand-RexBusch JaegerCimcoCobiNetCommScope EMEACorningDätwylerE+P ElektrikEatonEFB-ElektronikElsoHagerHartingHirschmannHomewayKindermannKlaukeLappLeoni DatacomLeviton Manufact. Coaxial connectors - Coaxial cables are used for signal transmission between the antenna and end devices such as televisions. Do you know where it got its name from? Coax is short for coaxial, which in the case of cable means that the copper center conductor and the shielding around it are on the same geometric axis of rotation. Conductor and shield are separated from each other by an insulating layer. If you now want to use the connections on the LNB of the satellite system, on the television or on the multi-switch, the required coax plugs must be attached to the cable ends. These standardized connection components are available in a wide variety of versions in the eibabo online shop. The differences exist, for example, in the type of installation on the cable, in the appropriate cable diameter or in the material composition of the connector. There are also variants with straight and angled outlets, as well as couplings for connecting coaxial cables.Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Data and telecommunication > Coax connector you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:Angular busBNC angle connectorBNC cable angle connectorBNC connectorBNC plugBuilt-in socketBusBus (jack)CATV connectorCoax connectorCoaxial connectorConnectorConnector plugData connectorF connectorF-plugFME connectorIEC angle plugInstallation busMini UHF connectorN-ConnectorPlugRG59 connectorSocket plugTNC connectorTV plugTwinax connectorUHF connectorfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Coaxial connectors:Astro StrobelE+P ElektrikEatonEFB-ElektronikGrotheHagerHirschmannHomewayIndexaJungKathreinKreilingRutenbeckSiemensSKSTelegärtnerTeleg?rtnerTelevesTriaxTTIWantecWisi
Modular coupler - The eibabo range for modular couplings includes various designs, including plugs and sockets in straight and angled designs. We offer you switch cabinet bushings with a robust, refined housing made of die-cast zinc. By the way, did you know that the zinc die-casting process only takes around 10 to 20 milliseconds? A zinc alloy is pressed into a suitable mold under high pressure in a very short time. Other versions of the modular couplings, which are characterized by a sophisticated surface, were also manufactured using the process. In our program you will also find couplings that have integrated protection against damage by automatically releasing the plug connection. We also carry elements that can be assembled without special tools. They are perfect for the assembly and user-friendly connection of data lines. What to do if a data cable is too short or you want to install data transmission systems at home or in the office, for example? With modular couplings you can connect cables and lines in a simple and safe way. On the one hand, you can rely on the classic connectors that the respective sockets offer you for coupling certain cables to one another, or you can use plug-in connectors in the format of the modular Keystone connection system for permanent installations. These are standardized modules, the advantage of which is that they can usually be snapped into standard chassis without tools if they have a grid dimension of 14.5 × 16 mm. The most common are the RJ45 connectors. The modular couplings available from eibabo are inexpensive, available immediately and are used in electrical or optical signal transmission, in network installations or in home entertainment.Catalogue content:In this eibabo® catalogue Data and telecommunication > Modular coupler you will find items from the following product groups:Item overview:AdapterAngle connectorAngle jack plugAngular busBuilt-in socketBusBus/busCable connectorCable couplingCommunications technique adapterConnectorCouplerCoupling pieceElbow plugHybrid clutchInstallation busInterconnectsModular connectorModular couplerModular JackModular plugPlug-in connectionPlug/busPlug/plugRJ11 couplingT connectorT-pieceWestern connectorsfrom the following manufacturers:Manufacturer overview catalogue Modular coupler:ABNAssmannBachmannDätwylerEFB-ElektronikGiraHartingHirschmannJungMennekesMetzMurrelektronikPhoenixRutenbeckSchneider ElectricSiemensTelegärtnerWentronic
