Power contactor ac-switching
Power contactors are contactors with high switching capacity and are mainly used in automation and control technology. Here AC switching power contactors are especially used in the control of motors and plants, and for switching electric heaters. The AC switching power contactors from eibabo are available for different installation types, such as for DIN rail mounting, mounting plate or for individual mounting in housings. Contactors are provided in different designs: As a mechanical contactor for a high switching capacity or as semiconductor contactors for faster response times and the prevention of wear due to the electronic switching process. Semiconductor reversing contactors are, therefore, also suitable for reversal of direction in three-phase motors. The three-phase contactors can additionally be equipped with auxiliary contacts to, for example, send signals back to the control unit.
